The Center for Coastal Futures and Adaptive Resilience (CFAR) at Rice University is excited to host a two-day workshop titled "Adaptive Resilience for Improved Coastal Futures" on February 6-7, 2025, at Kraft Hall 130.
This workshop will convene international, national, and local experts to address a critical question:
What does adaptive resilience mean, and how can social scientists and allied researchers help empower it — particularly in and for coastal industrial communities?
Through thematic panels and collaborative discussions, the event will explore innovative strategies to enhance resilience in the face of environmental, social, and economic challenges, with a special focus on coastal regions. A flyer for the event can be found here.
